Syosset SEPTA is the Special Education Parent Teacher Association is a district wide PTA whose primary role is to promote acceptance and inclusion of all by providing resources and support to parents, teachers and children who receive special education services through an IEP, 504 Plan, related support services such as resource room, counseling, speech, occupational or physical therapy and students who are twice exceptional or gifted.
Our meetings and our membership are open to all parents regardless of whether or not your child is receiving special education services. We are a resource of people who are available to help parents and children by providing support, education, and advocacy.
We encourage ALL parents to support our unit by becoming members. Your support allows us to provide excellent programs and scholarships for special education students.
